Dyffryn Ogwen’s third Community Assembly on the Climate was held at Neuadd Ogwen in November 2022.
Following on from the Schools Assembly in Dyffryn Ogwen, Ela from Year 8 Dyffryn Ogwen School attended the assembly to share the children and young people’s ideas and aspirations with the assembly.
She explained which assets were important to the valley’s children and young people, and also spoke about what their ideal future would look like in 2040. Following this she shared some of their practical ideas on how to reach that amazing future.
Following this the assembly members started to really think and plan the ideas that they would like to see actioned in the area to reduce carbon emissions and create a better future for everyone.
The members will continue to work together to develop these ideas and to co-create an Action Plan for the area.
